INITIAL CONSULTATION
While many attorneys offer a “free” initial legal consultation, the experience of The Earp Law Firm, P.C. is that a potential client takes the issue more seriously when they have some “skin in the game”.
Being charged a fee for an initial consultation with a lawyer will hopefully make a potential client really examine the issues they are facing and weigh the value of fixing whatever problem it is they face versus letting it go and moving on to other more important and more pressing areas of their lives.
We base our fees for our initial consultations on a basic hourly fee. A potential client who we meet with should expect to pay that portion of our hourly rate which they use in the initial consultation. In other words, a 30 minute meeting equals 1/2 our hourly rate.
